Mason Dixon Homeschoolers Association is a decidedly Christian organization which exists to provide support for homeschooling families, disseminate legislative information about issues of interest to homeschoolers and educators, and promote excellence in homeschooling.  Parents volunteer their time and skills to coordinate our programs and activities.  MDHSA currently provides the following services to its members:

• Business meetings in February and September at which policy decisions are made and activities are planned;
• A newsletter published nine times per year;
• Field trips and activities each month;
• Directory of active members;
• Various workshops as the need arises, i.e., Getting Started in Homeschooling;
• Co-Op School - This regular activity includes the following:
  • Two nine-week sessions (one in Fall and one in Spring),
  • Weekly parent support/enrichment meetings,
  • Three class sessions for students with a variety of classes offered for each age group (nursery through Junior High),
  • Opportunities for older teens to apprentice to adults in teaching situations.
• Assisted Learning Program Services, ALPS, a program of secondary level classes offered to assist parents who are teaching high school at home;
• Discounted HSLDA membership.

Currently, MDHSA offers a state recognized high school diploma to any Pennsylvania resident in compliance with Act 169 of 1988, the Homeschool Law, who meets the requirements outlined in The Mason Dixon Homeschoolers Diploma Guide.

These services can be provided only as we have parent volunteers and resources available.  As an MDHSA member, you are invited to participate at the level at which you feel comfortable, but you are asked to participate!

Membership runs from July 1 through June 30 each year.  Join us!
