Heritage is a Christian support group for homeschoolers, meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month Sept.-June at Redland Baptist Church at 7:30 at Redland Baptist Church, on Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood (Northern Rockville), (Look for us upstairs). Heritage is a support and networking group for parents (with no activities for children at the meeting although you may bring them if they can sit or play quietly nearby) Membership is $20 annually. This includes a MACHE membership (Maryland Association of Christian Home Educators, website: www.machemd.org) which gets you into their April Curriculum Fair free.

Every meeting is information-packed. We have a "what-works" presentation/discussion each month, a newsletter, devotional, announcements of what's happening for homeschoolers in the Wash., DC area, general discussions of issues relating to Homeschoolers or Christian mothering, and just socializing. From time to time we have outside speakers come to address us on various topics relating to hsing; past topics have included: testing, motivating kids, reading problems, high school at home, learning styles, prayer journals, and Hanukah.
